Southland Transportation Ltd. is teaming up with Lethbridge School Division and Holy Spirit Catholic School Division for a special event on Aug. 20.
My 1st Ride is a free bus safety program for first-time riders, and their parents, designed to make students more comfortable on their first day of school.
From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Southland and school division representatives will be on hand to help students learn about school bus safety and protocol. The day will include a short presentation and an opportunity to take a short ride on a school bus.
Food and refreshments will be available on site.
This year, My 1st Ride will be hosted by St. Paul School, located at 1212-12 Ave. N.
